12 Years Pass in Eau Claire Co. Cold Case

Twelve years have now passed since a 22-year-old woman was found murdered in western Wisconsin.

On Jan. 6, 2001, the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Department found Angelina Wall strangled to death along County Highway J near Fall Creek. Wall's mother says she fears her daughter's killer may still be out there.

During an interview with WEAU-TV, Lori Bednarcyzk said she believed the case would have been solved quickly, but now the case has run cold. “Let me have some closure. I'm getting up there in age, this mom sure would like to have some closure before I die,” Bednarcyzk said.

Investigators believe something happened to Wall when she was walking from her job at McDonald’s on Hastings Way in Eau Claire to her home off Birch Street.

There is a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the Angelina Wall murder case. Tips regarding this case can be forwarded to the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Department at 715-839-4709
