Local retailers are welcoming plenty of customers as another wave of patriotism is driving flag sales up as we get closer to the one-year anniversary of Sept. 11.
Dave Boyles of Badgerland Flags says after the terrorist attacks, he would take more than 100 phone calls a day from customers looking for Old Glory.
Soon, shelves in the store were bare, and they weren't able to get any more flags in for weeks.
The recent rise in business isn't anywhere near the increase last year.
Boyles says he thinks the trend will continue even after Tuesday has come and gone.
