Terror Alert Impact at Home

Updated: Tue 6:10 PM, Sep 10, 2002

The federal government increased the terror alert to high risk on Tuesday.

We are not the nation's capitol or New York City, so how does a high-risk terror alert impact families in North Central Wisconsin?

Security concerns over the past year have focused on air travel. At Central Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee, protection against a security threat is already in place.

There are stricter rules at the ticket counter, baggage check and security gate.

The airport manager says they are not doing anything different with the new alert. They are simply continuing to follow those new security measures put in place after Sept. 11.

Passengers say they are pleased our nation's leaders are keeping them aware of the latest threat. And they will keep flying.
