MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- It wasn't the big winner, but a West Allis woman and her husband have claimed a $1 million Powerball prize from Wednesday's record $588 million drawing.

Mary Retterath and her husband, Dennis, brought their ticket to the Wisconsin Lottery's Madison headquarters Friday. The ticket was validated as the million-dollar winner.

After taxes, Retterath received $672,500.

Retterath bought the Quick Pick ticket at a Speedway in West Allis. The ticket matched all five regular winning numbers, but not the Powerball, in Wednesday's record drawing.

A Missouri couple has claimed half of the big prize. The other winning ticket was sold in Fountain Hills, Ariz., near Phoenix. No one has stepped forward with it yet.

Retterath and her husband will hold a news conference Monday at West Allis City Hall.
