One person is injured after a plane crashed into a tree line upon landing at the Boulder Junction Airport in Vilas County.
Shortly after 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning the Vilas County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting the plane crash.
The pilot received facial and leg injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to Howard Young Medical Center for treatment.
The pilot was part of the Musky Day Fly In Event hosted by the Boulder Junction Airport as part of the Boulder Junction 58th Annual Musky Jamboree.
Boulder Junction Fire Department, Boulder Junction Ambulance, Howard Young Ambulance Service, Boulder Junction Police, Wisconsin DNR, Federal Aviation Administration, Vilas County Emergency Government and the Vilas County Sheriff's Office responded to the accident.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the Vilas County Sheriff's Office are still investigating the cause of the accident.
