Renée Taylor and Joe Bologna are something of a rarity in show business. Not only are they both prolific writers, directors and performers, they are married and have been for nearly fifty years. In that time, they've collaborated on works including "If You Ever Leave Me, I'm Going With You" and "Made For Each Other." This weekend, River District Theatre presents their romantic comedy "It Had to be You."
Sunrise 7's Sean Caldwell spoke with Gary Anderson and Lisa Burgess who play Vito and Theda, the couple at the center of the show for a preview.
"It Had to be You" opens Friday night with performances through Sunday afternoon at the Lettie Jensen Center in Amherst. Friday and Saturday, the show begins at 7:30 p.m., the Sunday matinee starts at 3 p.m.
Tickets cost $12 if you call ahead at (715) 824-5202 or $15 dollars at the door.
