With a seven person force, the Tomahawk Police Department isn't equipped to handle this week's fall ride all alone, so they're bringing in extra forces.

The huge event kicks of Wednesday and runs through the weekend. It's estimated to bring tens of thousands of bikers to town.

The new police chief, Al Elvins, says they will bring in 30 extra officers and 15 state troopers to help control the event.

"We want you to come have a good time, enjoy yourself but be responsible, if you're gonna come down here drinking, be responsible that cab ride's a lot cheaper than an OWI," Chief Elvins said.

Open intoxicants are allowed in the downtown area, but the chief says disorderly conduct, public nudity and other lewd behavior will not be tolerated.

He asks the public to drive cautiously and to watch out for motorcycles.
