"Free" is the word of the weekend at the Wausau Area Event's Big Bull Falls Rib Fest and Balloon Rally and Glow.

The events at the Downtown Airport in Wausau are a summer-must for our area. Whether you want to stuff your face with savory barb-b-que or just sit back and watch the majestic hot air balloons float across the sky - there is something for everyone.

Most of the events are free including the entry fee to get on the grounds as well as live music, petting zoo, and gazing at the hot air balloons - just to name a few. This is great for families who are strapped for cash as they can pick and choose how much or little they want to spend.

Kari Rasmussen, the Director of Wausau Area Events says they are proud to announce a few new featured events - petting zoo, pony rides, and pig races.

She also say this year's fireworks show - which is set for Saturday at 9:30 p.m. - is 50% bigger than last year's display.

Festivities run through Thursday - Sunday.
