The Wisconsin Valley Fair administrator is calling it another great year for the big summer event.
The Wausau fair at Marathon Park wrapped up Sunday, and Monday crews and vendors were cleaning up.
"The fair was absolutely amazing," said Fair Administrator Maria Budnik. "We had great weather, we had a great turnout, lots of people, lots of activities going on so we're really happy with the way the week went," she said.
Budnik says vendors reported sales were down slightly, but they were still pleased with the week.
The white tigers and demolition derby were perhaps, the biggest hits with spectators.
Attendance should be on par with previous years, at about 150,000. Next month, fair organizers will get to work on next year's fair.
