Wausau West Sophomore Attends President Obama's Inauguration

When President Obama gets sworn in for a second term, Wausau West Sophomore Allison Senanayake will be there to witness it.

Top students like she got an invite to Washington D.C. for a five day event called the High School Presidential Inaugural Conference.

The trip includes a full itinerary with a presentation by former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and a keynote address by Wesley Clark, a retired four-star general and former NATO Supreme Allied Commander and presidential candidate.

To further commemorate Inauguration Day, Senanayake and the high school scholars will attend an exclusive Gala Inaugural Celebration just for them.
