Wisconsin schools superintendent Tony Evers says he has no regrets about signing a petition to recall Republican Gov. Scott Walker.

Evers' position is officially nonpartisan and he is seeking a second term in April.

Walker said in an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday that he still hasn't decided whether he will endorse anyone in the race. He says Evers' signing of the petition doesn't bother him.

Evers is being challenged by Republican state Rep. Don Pridemore, but other candidates could get in between now and Jan. 2.

Evers says signing the petition hasn't interfered with his working relationship with Walker.

Evers says he has no opinion on whether he hopes Walker endorses him.
