Medford Schools, Medford County Market Raising Funds for Sandy Victims

Medford's County Market and the Medford Area School District have teamed up to raise funds and donations for the students affected by Hurricane Sandy in the New York area.

Wednesday from 9 am to 5 pm, teachers and students from the school district will be bagging groceries at Medford's County Market. The store will donate 10 cents for each loaf of County Market bread and 10 cents for each gallon of milk sold during the entire day. Medford Cooperative, the parent company of Medford's County Market, has donated $500.00 to the fund.

Greenwood Lake Elementary School, in Greenwood Lake, New York, is the home to principal Natasha Walkowicz who was born and raised in Medford.
