Students looking for help filling out federal financial aid forms are invited to attend a program Saturday, February 23 at Mid-State Technical College’s (MSTC) in Wisconsin Rapids.
The event begins at 2 p.m. with registration in the Building A lobby. A short financial aid presentation is scheduled at 2 p.m. and volunteers will be available from 2 - 4 p.m. for individual assistance.
Students in attendance will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win one of several $250, $500 or $1,000 college scholarships being awarded.
High school students are strongly encouraged to attend with a parent or guardian.
Participants will also need their most recent completed federal tax return; current value of assets (cash, checking, savings, investments, and business/farm holdings); 2012 W-2 forms; 2012 untaxed income such as child support and veterans non-educational benefits; and any questions regarding the financial aid process.
