For most kids across the area, school gets out this week. But for one set of eighth grade twin sisters at DC Everest, they still have history on their minds.

That's because they're headed to Washington, DC to represent Wisconsin in the National History Day contest.

Becca and Kari Jirik will be performing a 10 minute play about the 1925 Scopes Trial about teaching evolution in schools.

They are one of two teams from Wisconsin in the history performance category to be chosen to go to DC to compete.

The girls did much more than just Google search to find their information.

They actually went to Tennessee where the trial took place to learn as much as they could.
