Cultural Arts Festival at East Wednesday Night

Updated: Wed 6:29 PM, May 23, 2012

Wausau East High School students are showcasing their creative talents during C.A.F.E. Wednesday evening.

C.A.F.E. stands for Cultural Arts Fair at East and it's open to the public until 8 p.m.

The event is designed to display student art and other creations, and the school orchestra and choir will perform.

"I think that students in the arts often feel like they don't get a lot of recognition because they spend so much on their work in the practice room or studio creating and they want to be able to share what they've done with the world," said Kirsten Hornby, the school's orchestra teacher.

There will also be opportunities to buy items students made, and food from around the world will be served.
