Class of the Week: Students Learn to Use Google Docs at an Earlier Age

For many of us, our computers, laptops and tablets are the "go to" when it comes to getting work done and with new technology, students are learning new programs at an earlier age.

Google docs is a free program for anyone interested in sharing and storing documents. It's especially useful in the classroom for busy teachers.

5th grade students at Evergreen Elementary in Rothschild use their email accounts to share their assignments with their teacher Ms. Xiong. This way, she can keep track of their progress and edit accordingly.

The best part? Ms. Xiong can even follow along while her students are typing in class.

Students say it takes some getting used to, but gets easier along the way. They say they enjoy getting feedback sooner, rather than later.
