WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) -- Wausau Police Chief Jeff Hardel says investigators have obtained DNA samples from three people in the investigation of a high school senior's slaying.

Eighteen-year-old Breanna Marie Schneller was found dead Saturday in the apartment she shared with her fiancee and his brother.

Hardel said Wednesday the samples were sent to the state Crime Lab to be matched with what is believed to be DNA the killer left at the scene.

Hardel says two of the samples were from Schneller's fiancee and his brother. He says the third was from an acquaintance of theirs.

Police have not said how Schneller was killed, but Hardel narrowed it some Wednesday, saying she was not shot with a gun.

Hardel says police do not yet have a motive for the crime.
