This year at the Wisconsin State Fair Chocolate Covered Cranberries on a Stick will join Chocolate-covered bacon, Fried Pickles, and Deep-fried Snickers on the menu of unique fair food.
According to WisconsinAgConnection.com, the stick will sell for $2.50 each. It will be available at the cranberry growers booth in the Wisconsin Products Pavilion. The product features Wisconsin grown, sweetened dried cranberries that are clustered on a stick and coated in dark chocolate with a white chocolate drizzle.
Cranberries are now the official state fruit in Wisconsin, and makes up the state's largest fruit industry in both value and size.
According to WisconsinAgConnection.com, Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association Director Tom Lochner says the new food item was developed in conjunction with Milwaukee-area confectioner Niemann's Candies.
