The Langlade County Fairground is expected to get a facelift this Spring.
Last week, the County Board of Supervisors approved a plan to build a new cattle barn which will replace the current 87-year-old structure.
According to Antigo Daily Journal, the cost of the new building will be paid for by already-budgeted funds from the county, an insurance payment for damage to the existing structure, and public donations.
The new project will cost between $385,000 to $430,000. Groundbreaking is expected to take place March 1.
The board hopes to raise $140,000 through the sale of 160 stalls at $1,000 each. Naming rights to each wing for $25,000 and naming for the central pavilion at $50,000. Those interested in donating can call (715) 219-0942.
The Langlade County Fair is usually held between the last week of July and the first week of August.
