Hearing Set for July 18 on Proposed Mega-Dairy Farm
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports a public hearing on July 18 will provide the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources with feedback on a proposed mega dairy.
The hearing will take place at 1 p.m. at the Adams County Community Center. The proposed dairy near Coloma in the Town of Richfield, would house 4,300 milk and dry cows and 250 steers.
The hearing is hosted by the agency, since the dairy has applied for a wastewater discharge permit. Opponents are expected to voice concerns regarding the farm’s environmental impact.
