Wednesday marks the first full day of the Wisconsin Valley Fair.
Livestock will be arriving all day long. The carnival midway opens at noon. And did we mention the food?
Food is a huge attraction. This year, vendors are going above and beyond the corn dog, offering some very Wisconsin-like choices.
One Wisconsin fair food favorite is fried cheese curds. The men and women at the Wausau Breakfast Optimist booth are turning them out by the tray full.
In addition to the food, Wednesday's fair goers can look forward to the junior tropical fish show, a 4-H fashion show, music and drama performances and the agricultural adventure tent.
Wednesday's activities will wrap up at 7:30pm with a performace by the Oak Ridge Boys at the grandstand.
