West Nile Virus Found in Clark County Horse

A 10-year-old horse in rural Clark County has tested positive for West Nile Virus.

According to WisconsinAgConnection.com, the horse show systems of the virus last month.

It’s the state’s first confirmed the state's first case of WNV in a horse this year.

Symptoms in horses include stumbling, depression, drooping eyelids and partial paralysis.

Even though the summer is coming to a close, DATCP officials are urging horse owners to vaccinate their horses for WNV if they haven't already.
