The Lincoln County Fair is in full swing in Merrill. It's an event locals look forward to all year.

New this year is a contest called "Survival of the Coolest." The person who can leave his or her hand on an air conditioning unit the longest wins an air conditioner and installment. One contestant says it'll be worth it in the end.

Things are getting more difficult now.

Since 11 a.m. Friday people have been competing to win.

As of 9 Saturday night, three men are still in it. They've been standing with one hand on the new 4 thousand dollars air conditioner for more than 34 hours.

And to make it more difficult.. they now will have to stand on one foot.

But luckily.. contestants are allowed bathroom breaks every four hours.

The fair runs through Sunday.
