The selection of the next Alice in Dairyland is a six-month process and culminates May 8-10 in Calumet County. The county will host the 66th annual Alice in Dairyland event.
The job entails delivering speeches, meeting people, traveling and educating schools about Wisconsin's #1 industry.
Applicants must be Wisconsin residents and will be 21 years of age by June 1. Due to the professional demands of the position, applicants must possess education, training, or experience in communications, marketing, agriculture, or public relations.
Knowledge or experience in planning, public relations or marketing is a plus. The preferred candidate will also have the ability to discuss Wisconsin's agricultural products and issues facing agriculture in both rural and urban environments. Public speaking skills are essential to the position.
The annual salary is $40,000, plus travel expenses and individual health insurance reimbursement. Applications are due on January 11.
