MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wednesday, Wisconsin famers will get a chance to meet their state lawmakers and discuss agricultural issues.
Ag Day at the Capitol is organized by the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation. The goal is to get farmers more involved in the legislative side of farm-related issues.
The event will be held at Monona Terrace in Madison.
The group says hot topics are expected to include agricultural economics, animal welfare and environmental issues.
Ag Day will start with lunch and a panel of guest legislative speakers. In the mid-afternoon farmers will walk up the street to the Capitol to meet with their legislators in the state Assembly and Senate.
