4-Hers Love Showing Livestock At The Fair

4-Hers Go Above & Beyond

All this week at the Wisconsin Valley Fair, exhibitors will be extremely busy - especially those in the livestock barns. That's because of the time commitment it takes to properly get the animal ready for market.

These 4-Hers and FFA members are with their animals daily. They make sure they have feed, fresh water, a clean place to sleep, and exercise.

But even though it's a lot of hard work, many say it's all worth it in the end.

One exhibitor, Aaron Zimmerman, says, "I like the experience, showing, and caring for the animals. I like making new friends at shows and seeing them everywhere we go."

Some of the youth, like Aaron, have their own breeding herds. This means they take extra pride in seeing their animals born on their family's farm, watch them mature, and finally exhibit them at the fair.
