Blueberry Blitz Expected to Draw in More than a Thousand People Saturday

If you and your family are looking to get a little fun this weekend, you may want to consider checking out Blueberry Blitz.

Utech’s Rainbow Dairy Goat Farm in Merrill is putting on the annual event Saturday.

They pretty much have everything a family looking for fun would want. They are going to put on a medieval catapult launch, offer llama-drawn wagon rides and have goat-cart races. Kids can even milk the goats if they want.

And then there is the inspiration for the entire event – the blueberries.

Anyone who comes can pick blueberries and even take part in a blueberry picking contest.

Other features at the event include great food, live music, hay rides to and from the farm and a labyrinth mediation garden.

Blueberry Blitz runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Children five and under get in free. Admission is $5 for children ages 6-12 and $10 for adults.

Proceeds will go toward helping the Hope House in Wausau.
