Although all kinds and all ages of people enjoy the fair, it's really about the kids.
At least that's the case at the Lincoln County 4-H Fair, which is getting underway Wednesday.
4-Hers spend almost the entire year preparing their projects, and raising animals for the big weekend.
And this year, participation is up.
"I do believe we are getting more city children coming into the 4-H," said Dick Stoeckmann, director of the fair board.
The board has made a big push advertising all the yearlong 4-H activities, including handing out information at the city schools and urging kids to join.
The fair continues through Sunday night with live music, rides, bull riding and the market animal sale.
