The goods are in, they are being unpacked and pushed out onto the floor.
It sounds easy enough, but stores have a lot of product to prep before the busiest shopping day of the year.
Many retail employees are working late into the night Wednesday before taking a short break for Thanksgiving Thursday and then heading back into work very early Friday morning.
But employees at Best Buy in Rib Mountain are doing more than just prepping their product inside their store – they are looking to ensure their customers have a good experience before the store even opens their doors for Black Friday.
"Our customers come out there sometimes 48 hours in advance, 24 for sure and we want to make sure they get the items they're here for,” said Denise Zoltowski, the general manager of the Best Buy in Rib Mountain.
Whether it is a GPS, a laptop or a television, those people who get to Best Buy early can get a ticket to ensure they get their Black Friday dream deal.
The store hands out tickets for limited-quantity items to customers outside in line before the store opens. Customers then turn in their ticket to redeem the one product they wanted the most.
It helps ensure those who have given up their holiday can see their time spent outside truly pay off and continue to enjoy the Black Friday shopping tradition.
