The US Postal Service is not having a good 2009.
In fact, new numbers show the US Postal Service lost nearly $4 billion this year. That's a billion dollars more than it lost in 2008, even though the agency cut it’s operating expenses by almost $6 billion.
Postal leaders blame the mounting losses on the deep recession, which has caused a drop in advertising mail, and an increase in e-mail.
