OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) -- Tourism officials say filming of the Johnny Depp movie "Public Enemies" in Oshkosh last week brought in an estimated $4 million in visitor spending and local production costs.

Wendy Hielsberg of the Oshkosh Convention and Visitors Bureau says the total does not include city costs that the film company will reimburse.

Universal Studios shot scenes for the 1930s-era gangster film, with Depp playing bank robber John Dillinger, in downtown Oshkosh, at Basler Flight Service and in the town of Clayton.

Hielsberg says the bureau estimates $3.5 million came from visitor spending on things like lodging, meals, shopping and fuel.
