Woman Stabbed to Death in Kenosha

KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) -- A 37-year-old man is under arrest after a woman was stabbed to death in a Kenosha apartment.

Police and fire rescue crews were called around 11:30 a.m. Monday to a stabbing. A neighbor had reported hearing screaming coming from the apartment. When the neighbor knocked on the door, the suspect yelled out that he had stabbed a woman.

Officers forced their way in and arrested the suspect. The 52-year-old victim was found inside with apparent stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim lived at the apartment. Her name was not immediately released.

Police say the suspect and the victim apparently knew each other. Detectives are interviewing the suspect.
