Mother's Day Concert will Feature Wide Array of Music

Sunday is all about honoring mothers and music is a great way to do that.
The Spring Choral Mother's Day Concert at UWMC is going on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the theater at the Center for Civic Engagement and is free.
It features the concert chorale and vocal show ensemble. Selections will be from Chorus Line, West Side Story, Rent, and many others.
The concert is special for Director William Day for another reason, however. It will cap off a 50 year career for him.
"Come out and finish your wonderful Mother's Day by coming to a concert that's open to the public," says Day. "It should be delightful."
Day taught in the public school system in Iowa and then came to UWMC for the remainder of his career.
He says his career has been a wonderful ride. He's looking forward to doing other things but will miss his time at the university.
