Unknown Man

A Madison man is charged with giving Langlade County deputies false information. They say he lied to them about his name and date of birth.

The man was arrested on March 18th during a traffic stop. After searching the vehicle he was in, the deputy found marijuana. When she questioned him he told her his name was Andrew Uicker and he was 20-years old.

It turns out he's 26 and his real name is Joshua Kann.

Langlade County Sheriff, Bill Greening says, “A check was made on the subjects fingerprints and a match was made from the FBI finger print files that identified him as another individual from the state of Wisconsin who was wanted under a department of corrections warrant."

Greening says it’s not uncommon for people that are wanted or have warrants to give false information.

Kann is charged with possession of THC, resisting an officer and giving false identification.

He's now been transferred to the Dane County Jail.
