KESHENA, Wis. (AP) -- A man is facing a federal charge of second-degree murder in the death of an 8-week-old boy at a home on the Menominee Indian Reservation. A criminal complaint accuses 23-year-old David Waupoose, Junior, of causing the boy's death by striking him in the head, head-butting him and violently shaking him over the course of a month when he wouldn't stop crying. Authorities say Waupoose, who is from Neopit, is the boyfriend of the child's mother.
