YWCA Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

The impact from funding cuts at the state level is being felt at agencies around Wisconsin.

To help make up some of the difference, members of the YWCA in Wausau will host a pancake breakfast Sunday morning, November 11th.

Proceeds raised at the breakfast will benefit the YWCA Child Development Center.

"We already offer gardening and yoga and Spanish and sign language," said Staci Cortright of the YWCA. "We're hoping that the funds help expand that curriculum and make it a better experience for the children we serve."

The breakfast, sponsored by Executive Cleaning and Nueske Meats, will offer family-style seating and waiter service with $5 tickets available at the door or ahead of the event. Kids under the age of 3 will eat free.

"This is just one of the ideas that we have come up with," said Bob Schneider of Executive Cleaning. "There's a few more that we are going to start to work on as well."

For tickets or more information, contact the YWCA at (715) 842-3381 or stop by their location at 613 Fifth Street in Wausau.
