Wisconsin Jobs Now has organized a protest for fast food workers in Wausau demanding $15 an hour.
According to their website, Wisconsin Jobs Now (WJN) is a non-profit organization committed to fighting income inequality throughout Wisconsin.
WJN says they're working toward five major goals: Winning higher wages for workers, Improving on-the-job conditions, Ensuring healthy and secure neighborhoods, Encouraging grassroots leadership, and Elevating the political voice of underrepresented communities.
The protest is expected to begin Thursday at 11:30 a.m., however, according to dispatch reports, protesters began lining up just after 10 a.m.
The protest will take place at Hardee's in Wausau on Stewart Avenue.
Wausau is one of 150 cities expected to take part.
