Woodson Art Museum has three new exhibits on display that are perfect for summer.
"Botanicals: Environmental Expressions in Art" from the Alisa and Isaac M. Sutton collection features contemporary botanical art in America. Forty artists from Australia, Belgium, Cuba, England, France, Germany, India, Japan, Russia, Scotland, South Africa, and the United States are featured.
"Rhythm of Life: Watercolors by Richard Bolingbroke," is a colorful exhibit juxtaposing flowers, thorns and organic forms. Bolingbroke refers to it as the "pulsing tension of opposites.”
"Nature Observed: Wendy Brockman Watercolors," features the Minnesota based artist's paintings of acorns, leaves, pinecones, and feathers. She will be at the museum from July 16th through the 22nd during her residency.
All exhibits run through August 26th.
