DODGEVILLE, Wis. (AP) -- A woman burned in a house fire that killed three of her children has been charged with stealing from residents at a rehabilitation center where she is recovering.
Sharon Wand suffered third-degree burns over much of her body when her husband set fire to their house in Lafayette County last September. Armin Wand is in prison with no hope of parole. Armin's brother, Jeremy, has been convicted of helping him set the fire.
The State Journal reports Iowa County prosecutors say Sharon Wand stole jewelry, a ceramic figurine and a stuffed animal from residents at Bloomfield Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Facility near Dodgeville in April and May. Iowa County Sheriff Steve Michek says she has been moved to another rehab facility near Platteville.
