MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Police say a female student has suffered critical stab wounds at the Milwaukee Area Technical College's downtown Milwaukee campus.
Officials say the woman was stabbed in the neck Wednesday morning inside the main building by a man with whom she had a relationship. He's also a student. WITI-TV reports the man was quickly taken into custody.
The woman, in her 20s, was taken to Froedtert Hospital in critical condition. MATC President Michael Burke says it was an isolated incident involving students who knew each other. He says campus security staff responded promptly.
