WAUKESHA, Wis. -- A 25-year-old Milwaukee woman is in the hospital after being found partially frozen at a used car lot in Waukesha.

A police officer found the woman unconscious Sunday in a snow bank with her arms and legs frozen.

Medics say her core body temperature had fallen to around 70 degrees.

Investigators say the woman wasn't wearing a hat or gloves in the bitter cold when she left a bar about a mile from where she was found.

Police believe she wandered the car lot, yanking on locked car doors in an effort to find a place to get warm and may have been in the elements for more than six hours.

The temperature Sunday morning was in the single digits with wind chills at about 15 degrees below zero.
