SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating a fatal residential fire in Sun Prairie.
Firefighters were called to a home shortly before noon on New Year's Day and found one person dead. Fire Chief Tory Strauss says no one else was in the home at the time.
The Dane County medical examiner's office identifies the victim as 33-year-old Carrie Gray. Preliminary autopsy results indicate she died from injuries suffered in the fire.
WISC-TV says the state fire marshal is assisting Sun Prairie investigators in looking for a cause.
