Woman, 86, Killed in Marshfield Crash
An 86-year-old woman has died following an accident Wednesday afternoon in Marshfield.
The Department of Transportation sent out a traffic alert reporting a crash involving a semi around 1:27 pm. Both lanes of Highway 10 near Lincoln Ave. were closed during the crash and detour was put in place.
The Wood County Sheriff's Department says semi traveling eastbound on Hwy 10 collided with a car that failed to yield to the right-of-way when proceeding into the intersection.
The driver of the car, an 86-year-old Marshfield woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is still ongoing. The woman's name will not be released until her family is notified.
