Nearly 300 motorcycle riders took to the streets of Wisconsin Rapids for the annual ride for a Boys & Girls Club fundraiser.
This is the group's 20th year raising money for the Boys & Girls Club, and this year's goal is $10,000. Bobby Donahue, the fundraiser organizer, said when they started two decades ago, they had a hard time raising over a $1,000.
"Dan and I kinda schemed, and we came up with our first ride," said Donahue, "We brought some of that back this year, because we went back down the old route; down A street in Wisconsin Rapids."
Unfortunately, the group ran into heavy rain coming back.
"The weather gods weren't lookin' at us today, but we still had a lot of fun and a lot of good times. And it shows you motorcyclists will do anything to raise money for good people," said Donahue.
The fundraiser is held every year on the last Sunday in July. Donahue said they've already raised close to $100,000 over the past 20 years.
"Motorcyclists love to ride. Motorcyclists in general are very generous people, and I think they like to give to those (in need)," said Donahue.
