MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A Wisconsin man who was among the airline passengers evacuated from LAX airport after a mass shooting there says he saw the gunman and witnessed someone get shot.
Leon Suryan, of Greenfield, tells WTMJ-AM that he had just gone through a security check Friday when he heard shots and TSA agents told everyone to run. Suryan says he was rushing down the concourse when he saw a man with a gun. He says the man asked him if he worked for TSA, and he said no. The gunman walked on.
Suryan tells WKOW-TV that a TSA agent who was carrying Suryan's shoes from the checkpoint wasn't so lucky. Suryan says the agent was shot but didn't appear to be bleeding severely and will likely be OK.
