A Two Rivers man who was convicted of eighth-offense driving while intoxicated has been sentenced to three years in prison.
David F. Lawler pleaded no contest this week to the drunken-driving charge.

Mishicot police say the 56-year-old was stopped in August for driving with a revoked license. A police report says an officer smelled alcohol on Lawler's breath and observed that Lawler's eyes were bloodshot and his speech slurred.

A criminal complaint says he told officers he'd drunk at least a 12-pack of beer.

Prosecutors say his blood-alcohol level was 0.264 percent, or more than three times the legal limit.

A message left with his public defender Saturday wasn't immediately returned.

The Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter (http://htrne.ws/T8bAa6 ) says Lawler's most recent previous convictions were in 2008, 2006 and 2004.
