MANITOWOC, Wis. -- A Wisconsin company has received a state award recognizing its market dominance in making flavors used by restaurants and food manufacturers.
HTR Media reports Manitowoc-based Red Arrow was one of two companies to win Governor's Export Achievement Award this year.
The company makes flavorings that add smoked, grilled and other tastes to foods. President and CEO David Hanke says Red Arrow products are included in nearly every barbecue sauce in the United States.
Red Arrow has a more than 70 percent market share worldwide and will ship more than 20 million pounds of flavorings to more than 100 countries this year.
