Wis. Governor to Meet with District Attorney

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker says he is voluntarily meeting with a district attorney leading a secret investigation into former close aides that has already led to indictments against five people.

Walker issued a statement Friday saying he will be meeting with Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm. He did not say when the meeting would take place.

The indictments so far have come against people who worked or were associated with Walker's county executive office in Milwaukee before he was elected governor. Two people were charged with embezzling $60,000 from veterans and their families. Two others last week were charged with illegal campaign activity on public time.

Walker says he has hired two attorneys but no public money will be used to pay for their services.

Walker reminds me of the cartoon person going around with a cloud over his head. I can not believe one person can have so many things coming at him. He is a person on the way to distruction. Just a bull in a china cabinet.

Can anyone tell why would a person need two laywers to attend a visit with the district attorney. If there is no wrong doing, wouldn't one be enough?

Some people wonder why there is a recall! Dah! They believe it's only about collective bargaining, it goes way beyond that! This guy is unethical and arrogant!

Maybe Walker is trying to make a deal with the District Attorney. Otherwise why would you take along TWO laywers? Doesn't make sense, unless there is more to it.

Usually only the guilty or those hiding something hire more than one attorney. The only reason to volunteer is it may cause him more problems later. It may stop a campaign donation trip to another state. How many trips has he taken? One other question, why are the Walker supporters not commenting about him leaving the state? Seems like what is "right for the goose should be right for the gander"! Another two sided talk.

I am sure Walker and his supporters would like to see a stall until the end of his term. Walker stated he would like an election ASAP. It sure doesn't seem like this is what he wants. Just talking out of both sides of the mouth. He is very good at this.

I find it hard to believe that auditors would not have came across the money missing a long time ago. I also find it hard to believe that a person who is to lead didn't know what was taking place in his office under his control. I do not know how those in public office control their office or their subordinates. But in the corporate world this find would have happened sooner. The penalties would have fit the crimes and people would have been without jobs. They would have probably had a hard time obtaining a future job with another corporation. I can not believe the inefficiency of our government and it's leaders.

The investigation must be getting close to him! Why else would you need two laywers to attend question and answer meetings with the District Attorney? If it sounds fishy, it probably is fish. How long can two laywers tie anything up in court? One laywer should be enough if you are crystal clear innocent.
