UPDATE: Wisconsin Senate Approves Aaron Rodgers Day

The state Senate has passed a resolution naming a day for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The resolution designates Dec. 12, 2012, as Aaron Rodgers Day. The Assembly passed the resolution unanimously on Tuesday and sent it on to the state Senate.

Rodgers, who wears No. 12, led the Packers to a Super Bowl victory last year and helped them to a 15-2 record this past season. The New York Giants defeated Green Bay in the playoffs and went on to win the Super Bowl.

The state Assembly passed the resolution last month.

ALL RIGHT! job well done Wisconsin legislators! WOW must have been tough making this descion. No wonder this state and country are in sad state of affairs because of just plain STUPID legislation. Im a Packer backer and Rodgers fan like everyone else however priorities such as unemployment, gas prices and deficit must come first. Wheres the recall effort on the BOZO that presented this?

I love the packers but It is sad that we are paying for our lawmakers to waste time on something as pointless as this

I feel better now that this critical bill was passed before the 12/12/2012 12:00 AM deadline. I feel bad that Brett Farve is going to have to wait until the year 4/4/3004. And Bart Starr is just out of luck!
