Wis. Rapids PD Searching for Retail Theft Suspect

The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a person accused of taking $2,330 worth of electronics from Wal-Mart in Wisconsin Rapids.

Police say the incident happened on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 5 pm.

Police say the suspect left without paying for five Dell laptop computers, which cost $458 each.

The man is possibly in his late 40’s wearing a blue jacket with a white stripe, black hat, and glasses. He did get into a white 4-door vehicle with an unknown license plate.

Anyone with information about this crime who wants to remain anonymous can text Wood County Crime Stoppers at 274637 and start the message with WCCS. People also can go to the Wood County Crime Stoppers website, www.woodcountycrimestoppers.com, and send a tip or call 877-325-7867. They can remain anonymous on any of the tip options and still be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
